Arguably, something must be wrong somewhre as the recent happenings in Ghana has never been good news. If it’s not suicide today, it’ll be accident tomorrow. Just today at the Kintampo waterfalls located in the Brong Ahafo Region, at least 17 people are reported dead after a huge tree fell on revelers at the vicinity which occurred in between the hours of 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm.
The victims were said to be swimming in the water when the tumbling tree crushed them to death. An eyewitness told Myjoyonline.com there was a strong wind which forced the tree to the ground killing scores and injuring several.
A joint team of personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service and Ghana Police Service are currently on the scene attempting to rescue the injured and trapped victims.
