What is the quickest way to get the cellophane off a new CD?

- Burn it, the cellophane will be vapourised as will most of its contents.

- The 'HMV' method is as follows: Find a table on which the edge is a sharp rightangle. Find the edge on the CD which will be the "Opening" edge (ie. opposite the hinge edge) and with a fair amount of pressure rub this edge downwards along the table-edge in a single quick, sharp motion. The cellophane which covers this side will peel off and it is a simple task to remove the rest. Or use a knife.

- I went to a trade fair recently and among all the free items in my giveaway goody bag I found a small round plastic thingy, like a pencil sharpener. On closer examination I discovered it had a wide in it, and buried deep in the slot was a little razor blade that folds back inside when you press it. After puzzling over this for ages, I decided it was a CD opener - put the CD in the slot and run the thingy along it, and the razor blade cuts the cellophane. At least, that's my guess - I've not bought a CD for ages!
