Kenneth Simon Dorsey, famously known as Ken Dorsey, is a former NFL quarterback and current football coach who was also a multi-sport athlete at Miramonte High School, excelling in both basketball and football. He received recognition as an honourable mention All-USA football player by USA Today.
Following his high school graduation, he attended the University of Miami, where he played football for the Miami Hurricanes. During his college career, he led the team to a victory in the Rose Bowl in 2002, participated in the Fiesta Bowl in 2003, and secured consecutive berths in BCS National Championship games.
He had 3,369 throwing yards, 28 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions at the end of his final year of college. The San Francisco 49ers selected him with the 241st overall choice in the seventh round of the 2003 NFL Draft, marking the start of his professional playing career.
Playing in nine games throughout his first two seasons in the NFL, he completed 171 of his 316 pass attempts for 1,712 yards and eight touchdowns with eleven interceptions. He played with the Cleveland Browns after being dealt to them in May 2006, and he was cut loose in February 2009.
